A Dear Friend

My name is Brooke and I am on the Community Outreach Subcommittee. I was blessed with the opportunity to be on the Community Outreach Subcommittee in February of 2026. I first heard about James’ Triumph through Courtney, Sweet Pea’s momma. Courtney is a dear friend of mine. When I first met Courtney, her maternal instinct was evident! I knew that one day she would be an incredible mother. Any child would be beyond blessed to call her mom.

Sweet Pea’s story has made a lasting impact on my life. As Christian’s, we are told not to fear, but to trust God. Sweet Pea’s story is so bittersweet to me because it deeply pains me to see the heartbreak my dear friends went through, but it gave me such a beautiful understanding of how we are asked to love each other. How Christ showed his love and asked us to show love to our spouse and other human beings. Courtney continuously reminds me that there is still hope for another baby, God is still good, and they will be okay. If Courtney is hopeful, then I can be too.

I am hopeful to make a difference in the lives of other families going through child loss. I want to bring healing and hope in ways that seem to be unthinkable. Being a part of James’ Triumph has been an incredible blessing in my life, and I am grateful and honored to be a part of this organization. Sweet Pea and James Jerome have made a lasting effect on me. I have seen God bring light in the most unimaginable circumstances. Even though Sweet Pea and James Jerome never got to experience life on Earth, they are in Heaven where there is no such thing as suffering and loss. I thank God for blessing me with the opportunity to hear their stories and be a part of this team.
